2019 Election Bios

John W. Hanning, CCSP, MBA

John has completing Cost Segregation studies since 2005 and has been a member of the ASCSP since 2010. He currently serves as the Society’s  treasurer.  As a KBKG Principle John is focused on Fixed Assets, Cost Segregation and Accounting Method Changes. Prior to joining KBKG, John worked for KPMG managing large fixed asset projects in the Mid-American market.  John also worked for two large public accounting firms in Orange County, California (Moss Adams & BDO).  John’s passion is  providing continuing education on a national platform on subject matters such as cost segregation, section 179, 1031 exchanges, repair & expense rules.  John received his Bachelors in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated with his MBA from Ohio University.  John lives in Atlanta with his beautiful wife Olivia and their 3 kids Ocean (7), Kingston (5), & Breckon (3).

John Hoffman CCSP

John has been a member of ASCSP since 2006 and earned his certification in 2010. He as served the society as President, Vice President, Director, and Chair of Education Committee. He currently serves on the Education Committee and the Technical Standards Committee. He is president of Bracket Partners, LLC providing cost segregation and other specialty tax credit and incentive services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, successfully passed the Engineering in Training exam, is a CPA, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Travis Mlodzik CCSP

Travis joined the ASCSP in 2012, attained his Certified Member status in 2014, and served on the ASCSP Board as a Director since 2017. Travis also Co-Chairs the Education Committee and Co-leads the Exam Prep Day course at the annual conference. During his time on the Education Committee, Travis has assisted in updating the Study Guide, contributed to Case Studies, and co-lead the Exam Prep Webinar series. Travis received his Bachelors in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota. Travis is a Manager at Eide Bailly LLP and has been in the industry since 2007. Travis currently resides in Apple Valley, Minnesota with his wife and two daughters.

Deb Rock CCSP

Deb is a CPA and Practice Leader for Cost Segregation at RKL, LLP, a public accounting firm in Lancaster, PA.  She  has been a member of the ASCSP since 2016 and earned her certified membership in 2018.  She has served the Society by volunteering on the technical committee and also just started volunteering on the testing committee.

Sumit Sharma CCSP

Sumit has been a member of the ASCSP since 2016 and earned his Certification in 2017.  He is currently the Director of Cost Segregation and Fixed Assets at KBKG, Inc. and is based out of there New York City office.  He has over 12 years of tax consulting and cost segregation experience and earned his Engineering Management degree from Steven Institute of Technology in 2004.
