The ASCSP TECHNICAL CONFERENCE webinars are the most popular member benefit of the Society. (click here for link to topics page)
Discussions include audit issues, Taxing Authority pronouncements, property classifications, court cases, engineering questions, etc. Calls are recorded and posted in the members only forum by month with topics listed, so members who could not attend the session can listen back.
We are pleased to announce the dates of our Technical Webinars for 2019 & 2020.
This year, we will be conducting six webinars for “Advanced Experienced Professionals” (AEP) and another six for what we are calling the “Next Gen Professionals” (NGP) who are newer to the industry.
Generally, the “Advanced Experienced Professionals” might be defined as those with at least 5 years of direct cost segregation experience, while the “Next Gen Professionals” are defined as having less experience and sometimes might actually be newcomers to our industry.
The genesis of the NGP webinar came from feedback at our annual conference. This year, we will be trying out something a bit different in an effort to cater to all members, regardless of their experience level. In the past, our moderators have noticed that in many cases, those with less experience have chosen not to participate in a forum somewhat dominated by Certified members for fear that they might ask the wrong question or are potentially intimidated by those with more experience. To that end, we have decided to create an on-line platform for NGP members to encourage active participation and interaction coupled with relevant training.
Our 2019 / 2020 Webinar Schedule will be as follows (adjusted as needed):
• AEP webinars – last Wednesday of Jan., Feb, March, April, May, Sept & November at 4pm (ET)
• NGP webinars – last Tuesday of Jan., Feb, March, April, May, Sept & November at 4pm (ET)
These webinars are open to all ASCSP members but content will vary significantly in complexity and level of difficulty between the two groups.
Topics covered will come from member input and committee. We especially encourage NGP participants to submit request for particular subjects to be covered in the Webinars.
