Membership
The following is a list of membership levels within ASCSP. All new members join as Associates. If desired, Associates may then advance to the higher membership levels once the minimum experience qualifications are met and the applicable exam(s) are passed.
Technical Individual Memberships – Regular Membership Category
Certified Cost Segregation Professional (CCSP)
Minimum 7 years direct experience performing cost segregation studies
Must pass certified exam
Requires a letter of recommendation from two CCSP’s or from the Board of Directors
Only Certified members in good standing shall be permitted to certify cost segregation reports
Must submit two redacted reports for quality review by the Testing Committee
Member
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience performing cost segregation studies
- Must pass applicable member exam
- Members have all benefits of membership per the bylaws.
- Must be a member in good standing
Non-Technical Individual Memberships – Membership Category for Non-Providers Associate
Member who has joined ASCSP but not taken or passed any exams- [dues cover exam fee for up to one year after payment]
Individuals that may not have 1 year of experience performing cost segregation studies
May also include non cost segregation practicing members such as accountants, IRS employees, vendors, etc.
New applicants are always Associates and should be familiar with bylaws limits on certain member benefits.
